Inauguration of the MKU Law Alumni Association

A key highlight of the day was the formal launch of the Mount Kenya University Law Alumni Association, a platform that brings together over 2,000 graduates since the school’s inception in September 2009. The association aims to foster professional growth, lifelong connections, and impactful community engagement among alumni.

The Alumni Luncheon, held in the spirit of the event’s theme, was graced by MKU alumnus and Member of Parliament Hon. Silvanus Osoro, who currently serves as the Majority Party Whip. As the Chief Guest, Hon. Osoro encouraged alumni to stay connected with their alma mater and to play an active role in mentoring the next generation of legal practitioners.

The event was also graced by Ho. Kiraitu Muringi who gave a keynote address, titled “Happiness and The Law: The Nexus,” was delivered by Hon. Kiraitu Murungi, who reflected on the interplay between the legal profession and personal fulfillment.
